1. Service description

TaxBuddy (a Connecting Minds product) provides guided tax preparation, document organization, and licensed preparer review. TaxBuddy does not yet provide direct IRS e-file submission. E-file will become available following IRS Authorized e-file Provider approval, EFIN issuance, and successful IRS Modernized e-File acceptance testing.

2. Disclaimers

• Estimates produced in-product are preliminary. Final figures are produced by your assigned preparer using current-year IRS tax tables and rules.
• The AI assistant explains concepts; it does not provide final legal or tax advice and does not replace a licensed professional.
• You remain responsible for the accuracy of information provided.

3. Taxpayer consent (IRC §7216)

By using TaxBuddy you consent to the use and disclosure of your tax return information for the purpose of preparing and reviewing your return, securely storing documents, and (when activated) electronically transmitting your return to the IRS and applicable state tax agencies.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit fraudulent information, attempt to access other users' data, or interfere with service security controls.

5. Fees

Pricing for federal and state returns is shown at checkout. Preparer review is included in paid tiers.

6. Limitation of liability

TaxBuddy is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Connecting Minds is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts for violation of these terms or to comply with law.
